Welcome!

This page is very much under construction.
Sorry about the state of things.

Photo Albums

I’ve done a fair bit of travelling, and have been lucky enough to have seen some beautiful sights. Take enough pictures, and you’re bound to come out with a few good ones. Here I collect some of my better examples. Most highly recommended is the album of Iran.

Photo albums

Iran—Shots of this beautiful country and its friendly people taken during my visit in the summer of 2003.

Ben and Brooke's Wedding—An Alaskan wedding in a totally unique style. Lots of beautiful landscapes, too.

Home and Family—The family is back in Chicago and Ireland

Ireland—Speaking of Ireland...

Nepal—Mount Everest and surrounds, taken during my trip this past fall

Recipes

I like to cook. Generally, my creations don’t come out looking pretty, but the taste usually makes up for it. Here I collect some of my recipes, with contributions from Mom and Auntie Maureen.

Recipes

Mom's Soda Bread—The one and only

Auntie Maureen's Brown Bread—Delicious, wholesome, and moist, with no yeast.

My Yorkshire Pudding—An irreplaceable part of any roast beef dinner.

Scones—For a good Sunday tea.

French Bread—This recipe is a work in progress, but it’s already good.

No-knead Bread—Very simple recipe. Patience required.

"Quiche"—Not the standard quiche (I assume), but delicious all the same.

Biscuits—A simple and quick addition to any meal.

Nan—My attempt at this great flat bread. Not a bad imitation, and surprisingly easy.

Fresh Fettuccine with Butter, Peas and Sage Sauce—Not mine, but it’s good.

Beef Tenderloin with a Bourguignonne Sauce—(Not Beef Bourgignonne.) Like filet mignon, except more and better.
