Scones
- 2 c. flour
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 2/3 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 1 tbsp. shortening
- 1/2 c. cream or milk
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. dried black currants or dried blueberries
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Cut in butter and shortening. Separately, combine cream with egg and add to dry ingredients. Stir in berries. Drop onto greased cookie sheet or ungreased silicone mat by heaping tablespoons. Bake for 15 minutes or until brown.
