My home is back in Chicago. Everywhere else I’ve been pretty much qualifies in my mind as Travel.
Northern California, Oregon, and Nevada -- March 18 through 26, 2005
The Pacific Coast Gravity Meeting took place this year in Eugene, Oregon. (I gave my first talk.) Sherry, Ilya, and I spent a few days at Ilya’s mom’s place in San Francisco, drove up to Oregon, and came back via Tahoe.
Alaska -- July 7 through 13, 2004

I spent a few days in Alaska with my old college buddies Dave Brick, Nehal Shah, and Ben Linford. Ben was getting married to a wonderful girl – Brooke Rutledge.
Southern California -- September 17, 2003, through some time in the next several years
I am in graduate school at Caltech, in Pasadena, CA, working toward my Ph.D. in theoretical astrophysics.
France and Switzerland -- July 2 through August 12, 2003
I hiked across a good chunk of Switzerland before the heat wave got to me, at which point I met a particularly nice Dutch girl and tooled around Switzerland and Eastern France with her. Then, I met my brother and two cousins for a week or two in Paris.
Iran -- May 29 through June 18, 2003
